Hotels.ng’s internship program gets international partners
Nigeria’s biggest online hotels booking startup, Hotels.ng has announced international partners for its remote software development internship program.
The program is mainly aimed at new and junior-level developers who wish to advance rapidly in their software development career.
The first edition, which held in 2016, was so successful two separate editions were held in 2017 in partnership with the Akwa Ibom State Government and payments company, Flutterwave.
This year’s edition of the program looks set to surpass previous editions in terms of partnerships with the announcement of international companies — Oracle and Figma — as partners.
Oracle, popularly known for its database software, will provide web services for the interns while Figma, an online design tool that’s currently the heartthrob of virtually every web designer, will help the interns with design.
Full-service business applications firm Bluechip Technologies is also a partner, as well as GitHub Education and Ingressive, who have both given out 4,000 free private repositories, or repo, if you wanna sound geeky, to the interns.

One of the goals of the program is to be the biggest remote software development internship program in Africa, and with the opening of the program to other African countries, that lofty goal might be achieved before the naysayers’ spittle on the ground dries off.
